Francesco Cameli is an Italian record producer, engineer and Managing Director of Sphere Studios, whose work has included engineering on Duran Duran's Astronaut album.


Francesco was born in Italy, but has spent most of his life in the UK. He originally trained as an electric bass player at Berklee in Boston (USA) before returning to London and moving into record engineering and production. As an audio engineer and Pro Tools operator, he has worked alongside producers and engineers such as Glyn Johns, Chris Kimsey, Don Gilmore, Nick Davis, Simon Rhodes, Steve Mac and Tony Taverner. His engineering credits include albums by artists including New Model Army, Gary Moore, Otis Taylor, Westlife, The Streets, Ronan Keating and Duran Duran.
