Foxwoods MGM Grand is an unofficial Duran Duran live album, recorded during The All You Need Is Now Tour at the MGM Grand, Foxwoods in Mashantucket, CT, USA on 2 April 2011.
About the album[]
The album is an incomplete recording of Duran Duran's performance at the MGM Grand, a 4,000 capacity venue located at 350 Trolley Line Blvd, Mashantucket. This was the ninth US show performed by the band in 2011.
Duran Duran took to the stage at appox 8pm, wearing all black clothes the band opened with their current single "All You Need Is Now". Then it was back to 1981 with the band's debut release "Planet Earth", which was well received by the audience.
Several more 80s songs followed, including "The Chauffeur" performed mostly on a darkened stage by Simon Le Bon and Nick Rhodes.
The show finished with "Girls on Film" that included band introductions and a short cover of Lady Gaga's "Poker Face", with Le Bon adding Duran Duran are a band designed to make you party!
The bootleg is incomplete, missing "Being Followed", "Notorious", "Safe", and "Leave A Light On" and from the setlist.
Tickets for the event cost around $50.00.
