The album was marketed, manufactured and distributed by EMI. The compilation features sampler music from the German music video programme Formel Eins, which was broadcast on ARD from 1983 to 1990.
Featuring Duran Duran's 14th single "Notorious, the CD was part of a series of 49. Erasure are also featured, a band who were an opening act on various Strange Behaviour Tour shows in the USA during 1987.
