Fillmore 2009 is an unofficial Duran Duran live album, recorded during The Summer Tour at The Fillmore Auditorium in San Francisco, CA, USA on 7 July 2009.

About the album[]

The album is an incomplete recording of Duran Duran's performance at The Fillmore Auditorium, a 1,200 capacity venue made famous by concert promoter Bill Graham and named for its original location at the intersection of Fillmore Street and Geary Boulevard. This was the first of three shows performed by the band in the state of California on the tour.

With no opening act the concert began at around 9:30pm with cheers from the audience becoming louder as Nick, Roger, John, Dominic and Simon walked into the coloured spotlights and began what would become a two-hour set.

The band opened with "The Wild Boys", followed by "Hold Back the Rain". During the show "Save A Prayer" was performed with many of the audience singing along to the song. Simon Le Bon later dedicated "Do You Believe in Shame?" to Michael Jackson, whose Memorial Service was held on the same day of this concert.

For the encore, the band returned to the stage with Le Bon wearing a white tuxedo jacket & black tie for "A View to a Kill" from the Bond movie. This was followed by the stage lights flashing white for "Girls on Film".

The show finished with Le Bon saying "This is one of the best places in the world to play, and it ain't the room, it's you guys!".

Tickets for the event cost around $89.75.
