Roma is an unofficial Duran Duran live album, recorded during The Strange Behaviour Tour at the Stadio Flaminio in Rome, Italy on 1 June 1987.

About the album[]

The album is a recording of Duran Duran's performance at the Stadio Flaminio, a 32,000 capacity venue located three kilometres northwest of the city centre. This was the fourth of seven shows performed in Italy on the tour.

Held in front of 40,000 people, Duran Duran took to the stage for their first ever show in Rome and opened with two Italian no.1 singles, "A View to a Kill" and "Notorious".

The band then treated the excited crowd to "American Science", a song that reflects the group's fusion experimentation directed by producer Nile Rodgers.

During the evening, the crowd sang "Save A Prayer" with Simon Le Bon. Then Le Bon introduced "Skin Trade", a new song from Notorious.

Various video shots of this concert are available on an italian TV broadcast Be Bop A Lula, introduced by Red Ronnie. The footage includes Duran Duran backstage at the show.

Tickets for the event cost around 22,500 lira.
