Eric Roinestad is an American graphic designer, whose work has included designing album and single covers for Duran Duran.

Biography[]

Eric attended the California Polytechnic State University in San Luis Obispo, CA (USA) between the years of 1985 and 1989. Los Angeles based, Eric's work involves producing printed matter in the form of packaging, ad campaigns, magazines, books, catalogues, logos and brand identities. Clients include Capitol Records, Flaunt Magazine, Fox Searchlight Pictures, Chronicle Books, Virgin Records, Los Angeles Philharmonic, Gramercy Pictures, Geffen Records, Hollywood Bowl, Universal Pictures, Rabin Rodgers, Inc, Brent Bolthouse Productions and USA Films.

In 1993 he designed the cover of Duran Duran's Wedding Album and it's related single releases, with art direction from Nick Egan. Other musical collaborations include releases by Snoop Dogg, Kylie Minogue, Rosanne Cash, Thirty Seconds To Mars, Shelby Lynne, Lisa Marie Presley and Liz Phair.

Between the years 1998 and 2002 Eric was art director of Flaunt magazine, with a quest of not only to make it a 'must read' but also a 'must touch'. This included the October 2000 issue having a black & white embossed cover of dots, featuring actor Cuba Gooding Jr.

He worked for Capitol Records between 2002 and 2007, responsible for the art direction and design of visual elements relating to the company's corporate promotions and artist releases, including album packaging, consumer & trade advertising, logos, photo shoots, in-store displays, billboards, and other promotional materials.
