Duran Duran - In Japan is an unofficial 19-track DVD released by Woodstock Tapes in 2008, featuring Duran Duran performing live in concert in 1989.
During the Asian leg of the The Big Live Thing Tour, the 22 February show in Tokyo, Japan was filmed for broadcast on Japanese television. The concert took place at Japan's largest concert all, the 55,000 seat Tokyo Dome, also known as "The Big Egg", which was less than a year old at the time.
About the music[]
The Duran Duran show at the Big Egg included a rare performance of "Maximum Big Surprise" which is a medley of "Election Day" and "Some Like It Hot", both singles from band member's side projects of a few years before. There were a few other changes from previous Big Live Thing shows: the band performed a nine-minute version of "All She Wants Is" (their current single at the time), added a saxophone introduction to "A View To A Kill", and used new intro for "Is There Something I Should Know?".
