Denmark: Skanderborg Festival Aug.13, 1989 is an unofficial Duran Duran live album, recorded at the Skanderborg Festival, Skanderborg, Denmark on 13 August 1989.

About the album[]

The album is a recording of Duran Duran's performance at the Skanderborg Festival, an annual music festival held during the second weekend of August. The event features a scenic location set in a beech forest, in the vicinity of Skanderborg just southwest of Aarhus.

This was the last of five summer festivals performed by Duran Duran in 1989. The others were the Leysin Festival (Switzerland), Puerto Real Festival (Spain), Malaga Festival (Spain), and the Belga Beach Festival (Belgium).

The album begins with the only ever live performance of "Venice Drowning", a song later included on Liberty in 1990.

The show also featured two other unreleased songs at the time, "My Family" and "Yo Bad Azizi". In an interview with Italian radio Simon Le Bon was asked about these two songs, which he answered that "Yo Bad Azizi" will be of course on our new album, but we don't know what to do about "My Family". Actually "Yo Bad Azizi" was released as the "Serious" B-side, while "My Family" remained unreleased.
