Daybreak: 31 January 2011 is a British morning TV show featuring an interview with Simon Le Bon and Roger Taylor, broadcast from London by the ITV Network in the UK on that date.
About the show[]
Presented by Adrian Chiles and Christine Bleakley, the show is a mixture of news and entertainment stories interspersed with celebrity interviews, competitions, consumer and health items. Daybreak is broadcast five days a week with Chiles and Bleakley, two former presenters of The One Show.
Beginning with music video clips of "Planet Earth", "Rio", "The Wild Boys", "Ordinary World" and "All You Need Is Need Is Now", the interview with Simon Le Bon and Roger Taylor continued with talk about their All You Need Is Now Tour. Adding it features the biggest UK tour for a long time. All You Need Is Now was covered, with footage from the Sphere Studios and Le Bon commenting that producer Mark Ronson made an album that's reminding people of early Duran Duran.
Two days before the 30th Anniversary of "Planet Earth" being released as a single, Chiles spoke about the band's early success, with Taylor saying one minute Duran Duran were rehearsing in a small room at the back of the Rum Runner and within a short time they hit it big all over the world.
Taylor also commented that the band were flying to Dallas the following day, to play at an event connected with the weekend's Super Bowl (Pepsi Super Bowl Fan Jam, 3 February).
