Dallas 2000 is an unofficial Duran Duran live album, recorded during The Pop Trash Tour at the Starplex Amphitheatre in Dallas, TX, USA on 27 July 2000
About the album[]
The album is a recording of Duran Duran's performance at the Starplex Amphitheatre, a 20,111 capacity venue located at 1818 1st Avenue in Dallas. This was the only show performed in the state of Texas on the tour.
Eleven months after performing at the Starplex Amphitheatre in August 1999, Duran Duran returned to the same venue and opened the show with "Last Day on Earth".
Original members Simon Le Bon and Nick Rhodes, along with Warren Cuccurullo on guitar, played a rousing set that featured a selection of their biggest hits, album favorites and songs from their latest release, Pop Trash.
During the evening, Duran Duran played seven songs from Pop Trash, including their current single at the time "Someone Else Not Me".
Drummer Joe Travers later added that Duran Duran particularly enjoyed playing this show.
