DRUM Sampler is an unofficial various artists remastered limited edition compilation album featuring Simon Le Bon, released in Finland by the DD Fan Club during 2005.
About the album[]
The album was released to promote the DD Fan Club's Drum - 20th Anniversary Edition DVD-V in 2005. That DVD-V follows the incredible 8 month journey of the yacht Drum, competing in the prestigious Whitbread Round the World Race.
The Drum Sampler is the movie soundtrack of the DVD-V and features "Grey Lady of the Sea" performed by Simon Le Bon, a song he wrote from his sailing experiences specifically for the original movie 20 years ago called Drum - The Journey of a Lifetime.
The CD also includes extra mixes by other contributing artists with interviews from Simon Le Bon, Nick Rhodes and people involved with the yacht race.
The album was released in a jewel case containing front and back artwork, with the reverse including the lyrics to "Grey Lady of the Sea".
