Costa Rica: April 20, 2008 is an unofficial Duran Duran live album, recorded during The Red Carpet Massacre Tour at the Festival Imperial, Autódromo La Guácima in San Antonio de Belén, Costa Rica on 20 April 2008.

About the album[]

The album is an incomplete recording of Duran Duran's performance at the Festival Imperial, a two day weekend event attended by 45,000 people. This was the band's first ever performance in the Central American country of Costa Rica.

The Smashing Pumpkins headlined the Saturday evening show, followed by Duran Duran headlining on Sunday.

Duran Duran took to the outdoor stage at 11pm local time, on a bright clear night. Opening with "(Reach Up for The) Sunrise", the band followed with the much-loved "Hungry Like the Wolf".

During the concert Simon Le Bon introduced "Ordinary World" by praising the Costarricans for not having an army. He also waved the national Costa Rica flag, which the audience applauded.

The evening finished with an encore consisting of "The Wild Boys" and "Rio".

The bootleg is incomplete, missing the songs "Falling Down", "Skin Divers" and "White Lines" from the setlist.
