Concord is an unofficial Duran Duran live album, recorded during The Red Carpet Massacre Tour, at the Sleep Train Pavilion in Concord, CA, USA on 2 May 2008.

About the album[]

The album is an incomplete recording of Duran Duran's performance at the Sleep Train Pavilion, a 12,500 capacity outdoor venue that opened in 1975.

Amid spotlights and screams, singer Simon Le Bon, keyboardist Nick Rhodes, bassist John Taylor, drummer Roger Taylor and guitarist Dominic Brown entered via a red carpet on their stage, opening the show with the Red Carpet Massacre song, "The Valley".

"Planet Earth" soon followed, inspiring a singalong from the audience. Le Bon introduced the song by saying "This song is about this place we all share together".

Later Le Bon strapped on an acoustic guitar for another audience favourite, "Save A Prayer", which saw the crowd join in again on the chorus.

Mid-'80s funky dance hit, "Notorious" saw Le Bon spinning on the red carpet and generally kicking up his heels as he prowled the stage.

Near the end of the show, "Girls on Film" was performed as stage lights flashed white. The evening finished with "The Wild Boys" and "Rio".

Tickets for the event cost around $85.50.
