British Invasion: Yesterday & Today is a promotional-only 12" vinyl compilation album featuring Duran Duran, released in Japan by EMI during the 1980s.
About the album[]
The album is a DJ product only and features a collection of songs by various UK acts. The record was issued with white label promo labels, plus a Japanese newspaper style promo insert and a Japanese lyric sheet.
The compilation includes Duran Duran's "A View To A Kill", a song co-written by John Barry that was recorded at Maison Rouge Studio and CTS Studio in London. "A View To A Kill" was performed at Live Aid, an event which included The Power Station covering "Get It On (Bang a Gong)" which is also featured on this album.
A live version of Kate Bush's "Running Up That Hill" is available on The Secret Policeman's Third Ball, performed with David Gilmour.
The album cover features Duran Duran photography by Ken Regan.
