Banamex Auditorium, Monterrey is an unofficial Duran Duran live album, recorded during The All You Need Is Now Tour at the Banamex Auditorium in Monterrey, Mexico on 8 April 2011.

About the album[]

The album is an incomplete recording of Duran Duran's performance at the Banamex Auditorium, a 7,000 capacity venue located at Privada Fundidora s/n Col. Obrera, Monterrey, NL 64010. This was the first of three shows performed by the band in Mexico on the tour.

Just over six years after Duran Duran performed the Arena Monterrey show on 23 February 2005, the band returned to the capital city of the northeastern Mexican state of Nuevo León. The band line-up was slightly different, featuring Dominic Brown on guitar and Simon Willescroft performing saxophone.

Duran Duran took to the stage of Monterrey's newest auditorium and opened the show with "Planet Earth". "Hungry Like the Wolf" followed, a single released in Mexico as "Hambriento Como El Lobo" with a unique record sleeve (see album & single covers).

Then the band performed "All You Need Is Now", the first of five new songs featured in the setlist.

The show finished with an encore that included "A View to a Kill", which began with Simon Le Bon standing in a James Bond style pose.

The band continued the tour two days later, playing the Guadalajara show in Mexico on 10 April 2011.
