BBC In Concert: Live At Manchester Apollo is a Duran Duran live album, released as a download in the UK by EMI on 27 September 2010.
About the album[]
The album is an incomplete recording of Duran Duran's performance at the Apollo in Manchester, UK on 25 April 1989, during The Big Live Thing Tour.
This was the second show performed by the band in Manchester on the tour, held at a 3,500 capacity venue located in Ardwick Green, Greater Manchester (tour began in Manchester in November 1988).
The show was recorded by BBC Radio 1 for a highlights broadcast (using In Concert - 461).
The recording features "Palomino", which Simon Le Bon introduced by saying "the band had been touring for six months and it feels like we've just warmed up". Band introductions were before "Save A Prayer", which was followed by a cover version of "Get It On (Bang a Gong)".
