Anaheim: 29.03.2001 is an unofficial Duran Duran live album, recorded during The Up Close and Personal Tour at the House of Blues in Anaheim, CA, USA on 29 March 2001.

About the album[]

The album is a recording of Duran Duran's performance at the House of Blues in Anaheim, a 1,500 capacity venue located at 1530 South Disneyland Drive in Anaheim. This was the third of four shows performed in the state of California on the tour.

The show was the first live concert to be filmed using a unique 360-degree panoramic video and 10.2 channel audio recording system. The footage was produced by Jarrell Pair and a team at the University of Southern California, with assistance from the touring crew[1].

Duran Duran opened the show at approx 8:00pm with "Silva Halo", featuring haunting guitar chords played by Warren Cuccurullo.

With Nick Rhodes positioned at the front of the stage and Simon Le Bon wearing a dark short sleeve shirt, the band then performed "Union of the Snake", filmed in 3D.

During the evening Duran Duran played "Michael, You've Got a Lot to Answer For", a song written by Le Bon for his friend Michael Hutchence.

The third tour concert in California finished with an encore consisting of "Save A Prayer" and "Rio".

Tickets for the event cost around $62.50.
