After The Hurricane - Songs For Montserrat is a compilation album featuring Duran Duran, released by Mobile Fidelity Sound Lab on 1 February 1990.
About the album[]
The album was compiled shortly after the Caribbean island of Montserrat was struck by Hurricane Hugo, during September 1989. The destructive force of the category 5 hurricane damaged ninety percent of all structures on the island, including virtually all the homes of its 12,000 residents and George Martin's AIR Studios.
The Montserrat Hurricane Relief Foundation received all profits from this album, which features tracks recorded at the AIR Studios such as Duran Duran's "New Moon on Monday" and The Police's "Invisible Sun".
