Academy of Pop Music: Film Hits '86 is a compilation album featuring John Taylor and Duran Duran, released in Italy by Fonit Cetra during 1986.
About the album[]
This is a collection of songs by various artists, that have featured in film soundtracks. The compilation begins with John Taylor's first solo single "I Do What I Do", released from the 9½ Weeks soundtrack during a hiatus in Duran Duran's career.
Also included is Duran Duran's Italian no.1 single "A View To A Kill", a song which opened the band's first ever show in Italy, on 28 May 1987 (Palermo 87).
"Dress You Up" by Madonna is a Nile Rodgers produced song, which reached no.16 on the Italian Singles Chart in 1985.
