80's Alive Special - Blue is a promotional-only compilation album featuring Duran Duran, released in Japan by Toshiba EMI Ltd on 26 August 1998.
About the album[]
Released with artwork featuring Rubik's Cube, the album is a collection of 1980s songs by various artists. The compilation includes Duran Duran's "Is There Something I Should Know?", a single released in Japan with a slightly different record sleeve designed by Assorted iMaGes (see album and single covers). Also featured is the Power Station's debut single "Some Like It Hot".
"Let's Dance" by David Bowie is also available on the Nile Rodgers: Everybody Dance! album, released in 2011.
KC & The Sunshine Band's "Please Don't Go" was actually released in 1979, which became the first single to reach no.1 on the US Billboard Hot 100 in the 1980s.
